David decided to group profile entries into threads rather than projects, to accommodate non-project intellectual work like philosophy or physics.
During the redesign discussion, David redirected the grouping model away from "projects" toward "threads."
i like the idea of threads more than projects because people might be speaking about philosophy or learning physics and thats not a project per say
He then immediately moved to execution: asking for an ASCII sketch of the final design that was coherent with the actual MCP system, and then commissioning multiple agents to study the codebase before beginning implementation. The decision reflects a deliberate broadening of scope — granular is not just for product builders but for anyone engaged in sustained intellectual work.
