David decided: Commissioned a scale-ready gifting API for Kiss Me with Compute
David decided to build a public API for bulk compute gifting at the individual and organisational level, and asked the agent to reason deeply about the architecture before implementation.
After core gifting functionality was working, David extended the scope:
okay i want to build a scale ready api that lets individuals or organisations send gifts to people too, at scale. now i need you to reason deeply about, plan, whiteboard, sketch, revise, brainstorm and debate the architecture, structure, and entire API so we discuss it and then implement it
This framing — reason first, implement after discussion — was intentional. The API was meant to support both personal gifting (individual senders) and organisational gifting (bulk sends via API key). David also raised the question of MCC locking per provider — confirming that the card should restrict spend to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and other major compute providers rather than being open-ended.
