David debugged: Cross-environment message count: 16.1B tokens, not 1.4B

David rejected two successive token-count estimates from the model, insisting his real lifetime AI-token usage is 16.1B across all repos and environments, and forced a recomputation that included WSL, Windows, and repos beyond the current workspace.

After the assistant produced a 1.4B token figure, David pushed back twice:

Bro, it is not 1.4 billion, it is 16.1 billion. I'm trying to tell you, dude, that was what it was last time. I don't know how you're getting 1.4 billion

And:

even with that calc my number is 16.1B, you havent actually gone through all of my claude code and codex sessions through all of time across all repos and all environments on my computer

The earlier '53k events' number got the same treatment when he asked what an 'event' was and why it wasn't called a 'message'. The breadth-of-search question is the constant: each new number had to disclose its denominator before David trusted it.
