David decided: Disabled auto-prewarming of lecture notes workspaces
David decided to stop the canvas DM distribution system from auto-promoting candidates into workspaces, leaving click-to-generate as the only path until scale testing was complete.
David was concerned about uncontrolled workspace generation triggering before the product was ready for scale. He directed Codex to study the prewarming canvas distribution system and then disable the auto-promotion path.

The decision followed concerns about capacity bottlenecks: at the time, David was investigating whether the system could handle 100 simultaneous users clicking on candidates, and wanted the auto-path off until that was resolved.
