David's problem: Granular Connect hooks must self-install, not require Claude Code /hooks review
David diagnoses why a real user (Hugo) had Granular Connect installed but Claude Code still wasn't writing drafts: hooks were only written during setup with no startup reconciliation, GUI-only Claude installs were missed by the CLI probe, and the menu bar showed 'connected' even when ~/.codex/hooks.json or ~/.claude/settings.json were missing. He orders an end-to-end robust fix across macOS, Windows and WSL rather than per-instance patches.
