David debugged: Investigated Giancarlo Allio's stuck OTP 900-second timeout on Kerra signup

David investigated a real user blocked at the OTP screen by a '900-second retry' window despite claiming to have only requested one OTP, and pushed back on an unproven Twilio geographic-permissions hypothesis.

A new Kerra user, Giancarlo Allio, reported being stuck at the OTP screen with a message requiring him to wait ~900 seconds before retrying. David opened a production log investigation:

go look at the production logs to find Giancarlo Allio's signup attempt. hes stuck at the otp screen where it says too many otp requests. and said he must try again in like 900 seconds. that doesnt add up — he only requested like one otp so what is going on? go hunting

When the agent proposed that Puerto Rico's geographic permissions in Twilio were the likely cause, David pushed back hard:

wait no i dont think this is the bug. weve had signups from all over the place. is this a guess youve made or youve proved it?

David's challenge forced the agent to move from speculation to empirical log verification. The investigation ultimately led to implementing an OTP rate-limit refund and clearer error codes.
