David encountered a signup flow showing 'extension not connected' even with the extension clearly running, and asked the production logs investigation to find the root cause.
After a privacy screen redesign and re-deploy:
signup isnt working anymore. why doesnt this have my courses here? why is it saying it couldnt sync my lms instead of showing the fail open courses and saying its preparing?

this appears like users will see the popup about their extension being disconnected very often but itll just disappear after a second or so, instead of actually fixing the root cause of the issue that causes the bug in the first place?
