David decided: Killed the custom-connector explainer in favour of a deep link to the OpenAI store
After screenshots showed the coach dumping a long custom-connector walkthrough and interviewing the user, David scrapped that path and specified a placeholder OpenAI-store deep link plus a warmer post-connect flow.
David sent four screenshots showing the coach asking interview questions with no context.
its asking me questions like its interviewing me and i have no clue why... it shouldnt do the whole custom connector thing. it should send me the deep link to the granular app on the openai store (invent a placeholder link for now). and also its personality is so blunt and cold. its a coach and that means being warm, witty, and making the user feel like theyre in a good space.
He then specified the correct sequence: connect, congratulate, hand over the save-to-memory prompt from the MCP, and tell the user to paste it. He also caught the AI saying 'done' to the user right after the prompt, as if it had done the pasting itself.
