David noticed: MCP calls don't count toward a user's Claude Code or Codex usage

David ruled that the proof-page tool-usage counts for Claude Code and Codex must exclude MCP calls, because those don't represent the user's own work with the tool.

Reviewing the proof page's verified-skill counts, David called out a measurement bug:

the claude code codex thing that has the counts shouldnt have the mcp calls number, that shouldnt be counted

The principle behind it: a count meant to evidence how much the user works with an AI tool must exclude programmatic MCP traffic, because that inflates a number recruiters will treat as a signal of human-driven engagement.
