David noticed: Profile must read as a serious work record, not a casual publication

David drew a hard line between the granular profile register and the Snitch register after an agent proposed magazine-style mastheads for the profile page.

During the profile redesign brainstorm, an agent proposed a masthead format reading "GRANULAR · ISSUE №47 · MAY MMXXVI." David rejected it immediately and articulated the distinction:

no. someones granular profile is going to be used when they send in their cv, when theyre trying to get a job. its not a casual magazine thing like snitch

This is a recurring design principle David applies: Snitch is the casual, AI-monologue paper; granular is the serious work record sent with CVs and job applications. Any design element that reads as editorial whimsy or publication aesthetics is wrong for the granular context regardless of how visually interesting it might be.
