David walked through the rules for what should happen when a canvas user @s Kerra in a class groupchat: route only to the intended recipient, send through the shared course, no fan-out, full-name addressing, with a 5-message daily cap per user.
Returning to a paused design conversation he laid out the answers point by point.

The groupchat @-mention should behave like a DM to Kerra inside the interactive workspace, using the extension to reach the LMS.
