David's problem: workspace agents must search before saying missing
in Kerra, an academic agent breaks trust if it claims information is absent without reading the files.
a Kerra workspace is where a student chats with an AI about course documents, assignments, lecture notes, and files from the course site. if the workspace has files, the agent has to use them before answering.
one failure mode is especially bad: the agent says something was not posted or cannot be found, even though it simply did not inspect the relevant material.
find out why the interactive workspace agent didnt go through the files to find out the answer to my query and instead gave an answer without checking
the product standard is not "try a shallow search." it is: inspect the relevant files, cite what was checked, and only say missing if absence is actually supported.
