David debugged: Workspace banners lost New/Earlier sections after a silent state mutation
David noticed that Today's Focus workspace banners had silently reorganized from New/Earlier sections into a flat list, commissioning an investigation into what triggered the change.
David reported the regression while using the product:
a number of mins ago, the workspace banners on my todays focus page suddenly changed from beign in a New and Earlier sections to not having sections at all and just being one long list. go investigate what im talking about. why did this happen? and why doesnt it show the first 3 or so per course and then the rest are hidden by that expand button we designed?
The investigation found the sectioning logic had been inadvertently dropped. David approved the fix that restored the New/Earlier layout and also validated the bootstrap case — where a user has no prior workspaces — would still work correctly.
